Our School Saint

Saint Peter (died between AD 64 and 68), is also known as Peter the Apostle, Simon Peter, Simeon, Simon, or Cephas.

He was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ and one of the first leaders of the early Christian Church.

He appears repeatedly and prominently in all four New Testament gospels as well as the Acts of the Apostles.

Peter, a Jewish fisherman, was called to be a disciple of Jesus at the beginning of Jesus’ ministry. He received from Jesus the name Cephas (from Aramaic Kepa [“Rock”]; hence Peter, from Petros, a Greek translation of Kepa).
